Following a bunch of broadcasters? Most of those broadcasters streaming at the same time? Don’t know who to choose and possibly feel guilt going with one over the others? Tired of bouncing between tabs, windows, or multiple bookmarks to visit each of your favorite broadcasters? If so, the answer is out there: MultiStreaming!
What is multistreaming? Multistreaming is simply using an app or website to watch multiple streams in one browser window on a single tab. Sound awesome, right? The cool thing is that most of these tools allow you complete control from volume adjustment, transcode settings (if available), and channel chats that can be tabbed though so you can keep in touch with all your peeps! Let’s go over the Top 3 best multistreaming sites used and approved by Twitch Fan.
Twitchster is simple and straight-forward, with up to 12 streams simultaneously and a tabbed chat selection, entering broadcast channels is a cinch. The downsides are leaving the hub to edit the channel list and not being able to customize stream layouts.
KBmod is by far the best looking of the bunch, in terms of interface. You can have up to 8 streams with tabbed chat like the other multistream sites on this list, however, KBmod’s channel layout features makes it our number #2. Depending on how many channels you have added, you can choose how the layout in which the streams are displayed and swap between layouts at any moment, with one stream being the main attraction up at the top (as shown above).
You can also left-click any channel box to control audio and chat options, as well as the option to visit the broadcaster’s profile page on Twitch. The only downside KBmod has is shared with Twitchster, and that’s being exited out of the hub when editing the channel list.
MultiTwitch takes the top spot on our list for performance rather than looks. With the option to add as many streams as your heart desires as well as the usual tabbed chat. What it lacks in the presentation of KBmod, it more than makes up for with efficiency. What could that efficiency be? Being able to edit the channel list without leaving your hub!
The feature of continuing to watch the streams that you have decided to keep when editing your channel list gives MultiTwitch the edge. Also, the layout of MultiTwitch is simple, but it is dedicated to the broadcasts and chat, unlike Twitchster which has the current channels listed on a left-panel. It’s a small thing, but one that matters significantly when you just want to watch and keep up with chat.
So, all of that guilt over watching one broadcaster over another or that difficulty of choosing which stream to watch… Yeah, that issue is no longer a biggie. Thanks to these peeps over the web, we can gleefully and greedily watch all the broadcasters our internet and PCs can handle. Cheers, everyone and happy stream watching!
